Greg Pronevitz, Executive Director, Massachusetts Library System, has been selected for the 2018 Leadership & Professional Achievement Award .
“Greg’s career in Massachusetts began during a major restructuring of statewide library services in which six regional services providers were formed and Greg was selected to lead the Northeastern Massachusetts Regional Library System. There, he built a team and established a network of critical library services for more than 300 academic, public, school and special libraries including consulting, delivery, electronic resources, training and more”, said colleagues of the Massachusetts Library System.
“Greg is one of the best librarians, or individuals, that I have had the pleasure to work with during my years in library services. Greg is a proven leader and someone that people look to for advice and guidance. He is a great collaborator, opening lines of communication where there were none, and creating consensus among different groups.” stated William Adamczyk, Executive Director and Past President of Massachusetts Library System.
Pronevitz will be honored at the ASCLA Achievement Awards Ceremony on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 8:30-10:00am at the ALA Annual Conference in New Orleans. All conference attendees are invited to attend the event. Additional event details are available on the conference website.
